Hot saw machine, introduction to hot saw - West Machinery

A hot saw uses a toothed saw blade to cut steel with irregular cross-sections, as the flanges or webs of such steel are easily crushed or bent by shearing machines. Therefore, hot saw machines are commonly used for cutting I-beams, steel rails, and other steel shapes. Hot saw machines are widely used in metallurgical plants for cutting steel shapes, especially on production lines for rolling steel shapes with irregular cross-sections. They are generally installed on the production line behind the rolling mill. Their main function is to cut the head, tail, and to a specified length of the rolled pieces produced by the rolling mill. Compared to other cutting equipment, hot saw machines have the advantages of simple equipment, light weight, and high production efficiency. In many cases, the production capacity of the entire steel rolling workshop is often limited by the production capacity of the hot saw machine. The main mechanisms of a hot saw machine include three parts: the saw blade drive mechanism, the saw blade feeding mechanism, and the saw machine traversing mechanism for adjusting the cutting length.
